PROGRAM
Day 1: ARRIVAL
Pick up at the airport and drive to Paestum where we will visit the Temples, check in your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Paestum area.
Day 2: MOZZARELLA CHHESE TASTING – MATERA
After breakfast at 08:45 we will move to a local farm for a buffalo Mozzarella cheese visit and tasting, 09:00 am time of visit 1 hour. At 10:00 am we will move to Matera for a light lunch at 13:00. Afternoon at 14:30 we will start visit the picturesque rocky town of Matera, walk on the “Strada Panoramica dei Sassi “you have one wonderful view of the House and cave labyrinth. You Visit the rocky church Santa Maria de Idris. At 16:30 continuing to Martina Franca area accommodation in hotel. At 19:30 dinner and overnight.
Day 3: LECCE AND OTRANTO
At 9:00 am departure for today excursion to Lecce and Otranto. Direction Lecce with stop in a beautiful olive grove for photo. Then continue to Lecce, where you can get a city tour to the Piazza Duomo and the Roman amphitheater in the heart of the city. Beautiful churches and magnificent baroque buildings. Lecce’s nickname is “Florence of the South “. At 13:30 light lunch in a nice restaurant. After Lunch at 14:45 continue to Otranto, one of the most charming Towns of Apulia visit of Cathedral S. Maria Annunziata with the unique mosaic flooring. At 17:00 pm return to the hotel. Dinner at 20:00 pm and overnight.
Day 4: ALBEROBELLO AND OSTUNI
After breakfast at 09:30 departure for Alberobello the center of the “Trulli” (Stone quarry houses without mortar with unlit lime has been a World Cultural Heritage since 1996). These lobster houses became the symbol the whole province, an unusual example of architecture that is intact up in the present time. At 12:00 pm drive to local Masseria visit of local factory and light lunch with local food: wine taste, cheese taste, local salami taste and focaccia barese taste. At 15:00 pm continue to Ostuni “the white city”, Known for the characteristic, with white lime painted houses. At 17:30 return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight
Day 5: LOCOROTONDO AND MARTINA FRANCA
After breakfast at 09:30 departure for Locorotondo and Martina Franca. Drive to Locorotondo, visit of 1:30 minute walk through the narrow streets of the old town and visit the Basilica “Madonna della Greca.” After that travel to the Baroque town of Martina Franca . Light Lunch at 13:00 pm in a local restaurant. After lunch in the afternoon at 15:00 pm Visit an olive mill including tasting. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: TRANI – CASTEL DEL MONTE
After breakfast departure at 08:30 drive to Trani with a visit to the magnificent Norman cathedral Nicola San Pellegrino from the 13th century. It is considered one of the most beautiful Churches of Apulia and is the Saint Nicholas. After that Drive toCastel del Monte light lunch at about 13:30. Visit of the most important testimony of the Ancient Architecture. Around the
fabled “Octagon” of Frederick II there are still numerous Myths. At 17:00 pm return and drive to the hotel. Dinner and overnight
Day 7: BARI AND POLIGNANO A MARE
After breakfast departure at 09:00 am and drive to Bari, where you can admire the capital of Apulia, the pretty harbor town, and one of the largest university cities in Italy and an important ferry port. Light lunch in a local restaurant at 13:00 pm. Afternoon visit Polignano a Mare where you have a great view of the city with a walking tour. Return to Hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8: NAPOLI
After breakfast departure at 08:30 to Napoli. Light lunch set at 13:00 pm with local pizza Napoletana. Afternoon we will do a fascinated round tour of the city with Piazza del Plebiscito, Galleria Umberto, Spacca Napoli, San Gregorio Armeno. Transfer in hotel dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast . At 09:00 am Panoramic tour of Napoli with Posillipo, Mergellina. Transfer to the airport.
